“LSGMI saved my home of almost 50 years from foreclosure.”
Collis, an illiterate 85 year old retiree and father of 10, worked for decades as a cafeteria cook expecting to at least own his home. Instead he became a victim of fraud, and faced foreclosure of the home he bought in 1963. LSGMI successfully defended the foreclosure against three entities which each claimed ownership of the mortgage, asserting that their claims were invalid because they were based on a forged warranty deed. Collis now owns his home free and clear, and was awarded damages from the perpetrator of the fraud.

LSGMI Attorney Mary Ann David Honored
On December 8, 2012, LSGMI attorney Mary Ann David was honored by the Board of Directors’ of the Haitian Youth and Community Center of Florida, Inc., as part of its’ 10 Year Anniversary Celebration. Mary Ann assisted the Haitian Youth and Community Center of Florida, Inc. (HYCCF), a non-profit, charitable, social, educational and cultural community-based organization that provides early childhood centers for children in the Haitian community, when it was being threatened with eviction. Because of Mary Ann’s efforts, the HYCCF was able remain in their location until a settlement was reached.
