LSGMI Selected to Participate in ABA Section of Litgation Intensive Private Bar Campaign Training

On April 18-19, 2012, LSGMI Board member Stephanie Carman, counsel at the Miami office of Hogan Lovells US LLP, and Oxana Cardini, LSGMI Director of Finance, represented LSGMI at the American Bar Association Section of Litigation’s Intensive Private Bar Campaign Training. LSGMI was selected for and received a stipend to attend this highly competitive training as one of nine participants nationwide.

The Training focused on advanced fund-raising for legal services organizations, and covered topics such as revitalizing and reorganizing a capital campaign and working with community leaders and general counsel to expand the base of support for these organizations. Ms. Carman presented on the new GenNext Committee of LSGMI’s “Together, We Must Campaign”, created by rising professionals to develop and implement strategies to raise awareness and support for LSGMI. Ms. Cardini presented on LSGMI’s unique financial tools for tracking the success of the Campaign.

The training program took place in Washington, DC during the Section of Litigation’s Annual Conference.
